The Basic Wellness Blood Screen entails a

15minute appointment with the Health Care Assistant to get basic screen of blood tests.

The blood tests taken will include:

• full blood count

• glucose test

• kidney function

• liver function

• bone profile (excluding Vitamin D )

• cholesterol profile

For this blood test you should fast from midnight the night before your blood test. This means that from midnight the night before until after your blood test, you cannot eat or drink anything, except water and any medication you usually take in the mornings.

The tests will be reviewed by a Doctor and results provided as an email in 5 working days.

If you wish to discuss the results with a GP over the telephone, please book our 'Follow up telephone consultation' service for at least 5 days after your blood test.

​

With your consent, a summary of the consultation will be sent to your own NHS GP to keep your medical records up to date.
